Teaching

The site is mostly edited and written by me, Ali Jamieson. I am available to teach music technology either at my studio in East London, or via Skype/e-mail. I can also travel to you within reason. Please get in contact if you are interested in discussing a plan.

Topics I can cover range from total beginners starting out with Logic or Ableton Live to getting deeper into music production and sound design, song writing, composition, recording, mixing, Reaktor, jazz music theory and everything in between.

Outside of running this site I teach for a living. I’m the course leader of the Sound Design Production at Garnish Music Production School in London Fields. I also teach Ableton, Logic and Mixing and Mastering as well as coordinate their accredited Electronic Music Production diploma.

Additionally I am peripatetic teacher at the prestigious Brit School in Croydon, South London.

I have Grade 8 LCM and Grade 5 ABRSM music theory.

Recently I have started to produce videos to supplement the content on the site. They can be viewed below.

I’m always on the look out for producers, writers and coders to work with both on the site and creative endeavours within music so if you’re interested in collaborating on something please get in contact.
