  1. Love the break down Ali, thank you for this and all of the other great articles.

  2. This is sweet. But, is the midi file not actually in the project zip file?

    1. Hi. The MIDI is in the project folder yes. Are you an Ableton user? Weirdly Ableton doesn’t seen to allow you to export multiple MIDI clips so I couldn’t separate them.

      If not I can try and import them into Logic and export from there.

      1. Hi Ali,
        I downloaded the project and the midi files are not there 🙁
        I can’t use the Abelton project as I don’t use that (I use cubase 9.5) so was hoping you had the midi files separate?
        j 🙂

  3. Hi;
    Many thanks for this, but I also do not find the MIDI file in the download. There is only a single file: Project8_1.cfg, that extracts from the zipped download.

  4. Could you explain the last part (thin arpeggiated line) in a video tutorial…. i’m stuck thete…

    1. I don’t think it’s a preset – I’ll dig the project out later today but IIRC it’s just a narrow pulse wave with a low-pass filter being modulated by a short decay envelope.

  5. Seems I can’t find the midi file in the download? I use Logic Pro and Omnisphere…

  6. I ca’t find anything.. When I download I only get one Native instruments file in one of the folders. no Abelton file, no samples, no midi. nothing 🙁
    I use cubase 9.5 but if you have a logic file I can use.
    all I really need though is the midi and I’ll do the rest… 🙂
    J 🙂

  7. Hey all! just wondering does anyone know if this melody was a sample? it sounds super familiar but its hard to place.

  8. Hey I’m not seeing the ableton project anywhere. Seems like you had it posted at some time but it would be great to take a look at if you have this. Would love to compare to what I came up with (that didn’t nail it quite as well as you have). Thanks!

    1. Hey! A lot of the instruments are the old Arturia instruments and not loading in newer version of Ableton. I’ll see if I can get this working on an old laptop.
